This is weird, but in some threads (like the "post a picture of you and someone you love" thread) I can't see pictures posted by some users. For example, in that thread I can't see any of the pictures Fee posted, but I can see a lot of the others. This happens when I check out foodporn as well. Trying to figure out what the problem is.
I'm using Chrome on Mac OS X 10.6.

i also have this problem. i'm using chrome, too, but on a netbook.

This happens to me often in food porn threads. I can see pics by some users, but not others. I am also using Chrome.

okay now I'm logged in through Firefox and can see pictures. Maybe it's a Google Chrome issue.

For me, they'll show up if I right click and do view image or whatever or open up the URL in a new window, it just never used to happen that frequently. Now it happens with probably 3 images on every page of an imagey thread. I haven't noticed that it's a common host.

But if you can't see my pictures from that thread it's probs because they're from Facebook. I always assume when I post a facebook picture that it's going to be totally non-viewable but then once someone says something about it, I just count it as successful.

Are you talking about where instead of an image it just says 'Image', even though the thread is done loading? I see this, FF on 10.6.whatever

I had the same problem (some pictures not showing up) on my netbook but my giant laptop could see all of them. I could even see the pictures on my netbook if I viewed the source and pulled out the image URL, but it wouldn't display in the thread. They were all Facebook images. It turns out I had installed the Facebook Disconnect extension for Chrome and it was preventing image hotlinking. So if you have that, turn it off and everything will work fine! But also, please folks, Facebook isn't a great image host. It's blocked in a lot of workplaces, a lot of people have privacy concerns regarding Facebook, and it was never designed to be an image host to begin with.
