I bought a yoga studio!!! Wowsers!
It's a spot where I've been teaching for the last 10+ years - and now I am an owner! I bought it along with two other friends, and I feel really good about our partnership.
It's a big deal for me!

I know the BEST bread trick: If your loaf is past its prime, heat up your oven to around 350 degrees and when it's hot you just dip your bread under the running faucet (seriously, just let it get wet) and give it 10-15 minutes in the oven. It will taste like a fresh loaf yet again. You can even do this with frozen bread, but then you have to add to the baking time!

And you should totally trust me, danes are very serious about their bread.

This is fascinating! How wet does it have to be?

Congratulations Amey!

I found my Herbivore Deathless cardigan back! I was starting to wonder if I had just imagined that I bought it, 'cause I couldn't find it anywhere for the better part of a year.

duuuuude! here's what you do: get an avocado, put half of it on a piece of bread, add a little salt/pepper, put another piece of bread on top. perfect most easy snack/lunch ever

Well my sandwich problem is mostly rooted in the fact that since I've been single, I hate buying a loaf of bread. I'm such a fancy-pants with bread that I only want to buy the expensive stuff, and also so fancy that after I only really want it as it's super-fresh... So it just goes stale/moldy on me by the time I've eaten only about a quarter of it. I could be less lazy however and buy some ciabatta rolls or something as single-use breads.

This is my sandwich problem, too! I had to exchange a loaf yesterday because it went moldy in a record *one day*. I can share it with roommate/family but there are five of them and they would eat it all and probably not buy more.

Yay yay yay! Congratulations!

My best thing is that I am working from home today! (I am actually working, not just PPKing. My day starts with starting something that takes 15 minutes to load up, so here I am.)

How exciting ameyfm! Glad you have two others to share the load with you though.

Mars sometimes I justify buying fancy pants things like nice bread and ice cream by thinking how much a shop bought sandwich or restaurant bought dessert would cost compared! But I'd hate to waste what was left over so maybe you could make breadcrumbs to freeze and find recipes which require them. (There is a great white nut roast recipe by Rose Elliot here which uses lots of breadcrumbs and is very tasty imo. http://www.cookveg.co.uk/vegetarian-rec ... dL6lsu9KSM)

Yes, or just make lots of french toast and bread pudding. Oooh! Or Monte Cristo sandwiches.

If you don't need it to be slices, I recommend the frozen Alexia classic french rolls. They're frozen semi-baked so you can bake off as many as you need.

Alternatively, you could toss bread in the freezer once it gets too old for you and then grind it up for crumb toppings, or use it for french bread/panzanella/bread pudding/any of the other wonderful applications that history has invented for day-old bread.

It hasn't happened yet but tonight I'm going to see Bow Wow Wow! I'm so excited! We had tickets a few months ago but then my senior cat got very sick so we missed the show. They are one of my favorite bands!

Awh man all your guys' suggestions are awesome! I never bake, however. I don't know what my deal is, I love baked goods and I love cooking. But gawwwwd I hate baking.

Anyways, my problem has been solved, I asked the bakery where I work if they would sell me just half a loaf, and they said definitely!

Yippee! So excited for you! I think yoga is an incredible, life-changing discipline and the idea that you get to teach/help other folks learn something that has had such a calming, steadying centering effect on lives is an amazing contribution! Whee! Share the love!
