With it being hot outside and my desire to exercise, I'm trying to go through my own collection and evaluate new videos to utilize.

My new favorite is Hot Hula Fitness, it is fun and energetic. It is in pieces so you can kind of pick and choose without feeling like you are quitting a workout.

For a relaxing workout, I like Callanetics Evolution but it is long (60 minutes). Candlelight yoga is also a nice relaxing yoga workout.

In general, I like Ellen Barrett as an instructor and have a few of her DVDs.

I also recently bought Plus size pilates which a well appreciated approach but the DVD has a lot of instruction and is quite slow. It'd be nice if it came with a workout card so that you can do the workouts without the DVD.

I'd like to hear what other people utilize and really like.

You are all a disgrace to vegans. Go f*ck yourselves, especially linanil.

I have Candlelight Yoga and it is really nice and relaxing. I used to do the MTV power yoga dvds and liked them a lot. My favorite workouts have always been kickboxing/martial arts-type stuff, though. I was doing Turbo Jam for a while when I was first starting to exercise again post-surgery, but it was a little too dancey for my taste. I recently started doing Les Mills Combat and I LOVE IT. So so much. I find the instructors endearing in a cheesy kind of way, and the workouts make me feel like a total badass even though I'm just punching air in my basement. Plus I like that you get some core strength out of the deal without crunches, since I can't really do targeted ab exercises anymore (I pretty much just rely on plank, which is fine since I love me some plank).

I'm in the market for a good strength training dvd, so I'll be watching this thread.
