A new vegan restaurant is opening 8/27 in Asbury Park, NJ! No menu has been posted yet, that I can see, but its the same owners at Porta, also in Asbury and their vegan options are really good. Can't wait to try this place!

Good to know. I live up in northern Bergen County but pass that way when I visit my parents down in south Jersey.

Their treatment of radishes is so interesting! I really want to try the potpie salad.

I would love a September meetup now that the traffic is less horrible. I posted in the Philly Phorum to see if the S.NJ and Philly pholks can join.

I went a couple weeks ago and I thought everything was pretty good! I split the root fries, the panko breaded hen of the wood mushrooms (the best!!) and the brussel sprouts salad. We also split the chickpea socca and the swiss chard angolotti - these two dishes were just okay. I felt the mushrooms and the sauce in the socca dish were super bland, but everything else (the socca and roasted beets) were delicious! Got the chocolate cake for desert - I think I remember the crumb being a bit dry, but otherwise rich and tasty. REALLY expensive for what is was. I'd rather eat at Vedge in Philly for that price. :)
