Bundts are pretty and fancy looking and you'll be skipping the frosting that makes up so much of a cake's usual fat and sugar content.

in general though i feel like if you're baking for a special occasion you should just go for it with the fat and sugar and whatever, but this bundt does not in anyway taste "lower fat"
I third this suggestion, it's so yummy, and definitely doesn't taste lower fat. I tend to be of the camp that if you're going to have desert for a special occasion, it might as well be decadent, but that cake is seriously good.
