Hi peeps, I've been lurking around here and finally broke down and made an account. Yay!

I am curious tho, what mobile forum readers do you support? I like to browse on my iPad in the evenings from my sort, fluffy bed and I typically use an app called Forum Runner.

I did a search with the app and didn't find this forum listed. After further investigating, I discovered that the forum administrator has to sign up with their free listing service :/

The link is: http://www.forumrunner.net/?p=register . Is it possible I could have an admin look into this to see if it's feasible to be added? I am unaware if this would be troublesome or not, so I apologize in advance if it won't be what's for the best for this forum. Thank you!

G33kly yours,

-J

I just go straight to the website from my mobile browser, no app needed. You get full posting/lurking capabilities.

Yeah, I have no problems reading the PPK this way.

I agree - it loads fine, however I use the app for all my other forum/membership viewings. No harm meant :)

I can access the forums on my android phone, but eventually give up trying to read anything because I have to constantly adjust the screen size. I would love to see a PPK mobile app! One of other forums I visit has a mobile app (naturallycurlydotcom) and it works great.

I wonder what it would cost for someone to develop an app. If I had the skills I'd do it myself, but since I don't I would gladly help pay for one.

I read and post almost exclusively on my iPad. The only issue is not being able to resize input boxes, so it can be annoying when quoting or editing.

And the autocorrect mistakes that make me look idiotic!

Reading and posting that way right now. Bonus points, (on the playbook at least) you can add bookmarks to the desktop with little PPK icons and just click it as you would an app.

I go through Safari on my iPhone and it looks great and is easy to navigate, but an app would be cool, too.

Embedded videos haven't been showing on my iPad, and it's giving me a major sad. I need to see a guy refind his my little pony figurine. I need to see an elephant playing a piano!

I'm having the same issue on my iphone. Maybe it's just an Apple thing.

It's working for me? My job gave me an iphone 4S, so I guess I can test Apple stuff now. I've got it updated to IOS 7. If I open up this thread viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2057 in Safari, I can see the squares where the videos are with play buttons, and when I tap it, it opens the video up in the Youtube app. However, these are Youtube videos. If the embedded video is from Vimeo, yeah, it's probably an Apple thing.

I guess it wasn't a figurine at all!! But yeah, the box wouldn't show up; just a blank space on my iPad 3, updated with iOS7.

Huh. So I opened it on my iphone first, and there's nothing there. Where the video should be is just blank. And it's a Youtube video, so I'd expect it would be there like in the other thread full of Youtube videos. So I opened it in Chrome on my iphone and it's also blank. Then I opened it in Dolphin on my Android phone and it's blank there too. So I'm thinking that maybe the author has set it to not play on mobile devices, and this is what happens when someone tries to embed it. It works fine on my work PC but none of my mobile devices can see it.

I just updated my iPad to iOS7 last night and embedded videos that were visible yesterday (using safari) are now not visible.

Unrelated to the PPK, I also went to youtube on safari to watch one of the channels I'm subscribed to and where there would normally be suggested videos in the sidebar is just a blank space. So I'm suspecting there's an iOS7 weirdness happening with youtube videos.

Apparently, other folks have been having the same problem with iOS7.
