when i am like that i tend to use a clay mask (i just use clay powder, usually black) to take down the inflammation, i am much more likely to pick if it's inflamed and hurting.

I placed an online order at Sephora yesterday and if you use the promo code BETTER you will get a mini-travel sized Too-Faced Better than Sex mascara!

I found out about that mascara here, so I thought I would pass it along to you ladies :)

I used a drying gel, now I guess it is time to use some coconut oil...Today there is nothing to pick at so I can keep my hands off my face.

I feel you, when I was really depressed/stressed and got cystic acne, I couldn't keep off of them and they would end up scabby. Awful. I would gently exfoliate to get as much of the dry skin off as possible without removing any scab, because y'know, blood. Then i'd extra moisturize that area and use a primer and be really careful about patting on the concealer so it wouldn't look cakey. You could definitely still see the zits, I wasn't trying to make them invisible, but they still looked a lot better because I at least covered up the redness around them.

thank you for your tips! i just bought a tarte primer - i do not know if i used to much (a bit more than pea sized) or my skin is acting up but it was oily on saturday. i will try it again...

so far i like the tarte mascara & lash curler. i used them both on saturday and liked the curl my lashes got...

on saturday i bought a wnw nail polish at walgreens from the halloween line - dark purple called 'poison apple'...

I've been seeing some ELF stuff at Dollar Tree, mostly Essential line stuff so being a dollar isn't a big deal, but the two i've been to each had a different shade of the Studio matte lipsticks and one had the Studio concealer brush.

What are some cheap/low cost and fun items I can pick up at Walgreen/Ulta/Target this week to distract my mind from sadness? I already know about wnw....So anything by Milani or NYX would be cool...or a fun hair volumizing product. I am in need of a good powder and would like to play with blush. My makeup is basic but dramatic = I mean drawn on brown, lots of black liner but over the years I find my best look is bronzes and browns...I do not do glitter or wild colors (unless it is on my nails)...

I might get my nails done this weekend. The nail artist uses vegan polish and is able to do cats/paw prints. On the ckd kitty group someone paid tribute to their kitty with nail art...

The best things I find at Ulta that aren't nail polish are on the clearance rack and it's usually skin care, I know they have NYX and stuff but I have no idea what's vegan from them. If you have CVS, WnW is 40% off this week! And Target sells ELF, if you like blush check out the studio line (black packaging) blushes.

i'd say just head to Ulta and browse. The last time I went just to browse they had Mineral Fusion skincare (which I really like) for BOGO FREE. Considering that a tube of one product is often almost twenty bucks, that's a pretty sweet deal. Needless to say, I'm set for my MF skincare for a while now.

They have derma-e and Avalon Organics, that's usually what I see on the clearance rack.

Oh oh oh, and I almost forgot: every month Ulta has a $3.50 off of $10 purchase:

http://www.coupons.com/coupon-codes/pri ... d=103085_2

That one expires in three days, but like I said, they have one all the time.

One of my very favorite indie perfumers does this! Haus of Gloi. They will blend up a custom oil for $20, with up to 4 notes. Bonus: they are a completely vegan company.

Oooooo, have you guys seen this? I've been saying i'll try out lip tars forever, and I think a mini set might finally do me in! They're going to have a bigger one too, I think it's $50 or $60 but it'll have 15 colors.

http://www.sephora.com/lip-tar-all-star ... Id=1549336

Also through Brian's work, we now have access to a corporate rewards system where I go to the site first, then click their link to the site I want to shop at and they'll give me X amount of points for every dollar spent. ELF gets me four points, and Sephora gets two. This is dangerous.

I don't know if everything is vegan. The products I use from them do say 100% vegan on the back, though.....

Oh, I'd love some mini sets! Probably not going to be available in Europe I assume.

The mini sets are an awesome idea. I wish they'd offer the mini half-size lip tars as a standard option, actually. I have a few normal sized ones and I know I'll never actually finish a tube.

There's an NYX vegan list?!

eta I'm not seeing anything obviously on the list that stands out as non-vegan.
