What are these "subnickname" thingies? I'm pretty new to the PPK, and while being a Tofu Pup sounds like the most adorable thing ever, in my best double rainbow voice, what does it meeeeean? Do you get to choose them? Because I don't want to end up as Ingrid Newkirk's babydaddy just because I've posted 896 times or something. All right, back to this here media essay...

Regular subnicks are assigned based on your number of posts. Custom subnicks are granted to you by the capricious PPK gods, usually if you've said something sufficiently embarrassing or else entertained them in some fashion.
Note that groveling for a subnick, like wishes from a genie, can often produce unexpected and unwanted results.

I like the progression - it's nice to log in and see you have a new one.

I had one for about 4 days before the boards went poof. Happiest days of my life. They're magical, those custom subnicks. At least I'll always have the screencaps. Snif.
