I tried the new Alpro strawberry and rhubarb yogurt
Was a bit disappointed, it just tasted like strawberry
I used to love rhubarb yogurts before I went vegan :(

Oh yeah, me too! It can't be hard to make your own by mixing some stewed rhubarb into plain yogurt but I doubt I'd be bothered to actually do it.

doooo iiiitttt! i'm super-dee-duper lazy but i make this all the time when rhubarb is in season. just roughly chop some rhubarb, add sugar & a splash of water, then let it cook over lowish heat until it's the consistency you want (adding more sugar & water as necessary). mix with Sojade plain and it's a lovely springtime breakfast or snack.

Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere but there seems to be a new Sainsbury's brand almond milk. Un/sweetened. In the fridge. £1 at the mo! It's a bit more watery than Alpro but still nice!

Linda McCartney chana masala vegcakes. I found them in the chilled vegetarian section at Waitrose. Pretty tasty I think.

Reggae Reggae Peanuts & Cashews, marked suitable for vegans and really really good. I can and probably will eat this entire bag this afternoon!

I found a new product in H&B today, Wowbutter - supposed to taste just like peanut butter but without the peanuts

I bought some of the new cauldron Italian tofu. It's pretty nice. I didn't press it but I think that would make the texture better (it says this on the pack as well). I just fried it and as someone who has issues with tofu textures when it's too soft, it didn't make me gip. So, win!

I'm gonna press the leftovers before I cook it I think.

oh, I am a great fan of many things Italian ... where did you get it? does it have basil etc. / summat else to make it 'Italian'?

the Little Waitrose near us carries some Cauldron items but none of their tofu ...

I found it in Morrisons if I remember correctly. It may have been waitrose. But anyway, the supermarkets should have it.

Yeah it's basically just tofu with some Italian herbs in. They have smoked tofu as well in similar packaging.

It's in a cardboard box, rather than plastic and is smaller than the plain tofu and a little bit firmer. Marinating some decent plain tofu would still be way better but I can't always get hold of good plain tofu (I don't like cauldron's plain) so this would do in a pinch!

Coyo have started doing coconut milk ice cream, I saw some in my local health food shop. I don't know if this is a new thing, but I thought I'd come post it here anyway. I've not tried it, so I can't vouch for how it is. It was like £6.80 and I noped out, especially since I didn't really enjoy the tanginess of the Coyo yoghurts.

Just realised I keep posting things I find, but I've not bought any of it to try. I think I enjoy the feeling of finding something vegan, but I always chicken out of trying it, unless it's something like a new redwoods products or "Vbites" as it's called now, or something I really like but too lazy to veganize. It's like " YAY I CAN EAT THIS .... but I wont...."

Talking of Vbites their Christmas stuff is in H&B.
I bought the Brussels & Cranberry Pate, Gammon Style & Orange Bites, Turkey Leek & Blue Cheezly Bites and a selection pack of other bites that don't seem to be on website for some reason.
Use by date is currently December 20th so I have shoved them in the freezer

Tesco have packs of fruit nuts & marzipan stars that appear vegan.

They also have started stocking Raspberry Malt Wheats: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/ ... =280009194

Not new per se, but Sainsburys has some great crispy-type snacks like twirls and salt and vinegar popcorn, and they're pretty awesome.

So I had the VBites turkey/leek/blue cheese bites and the 32-piece party pack (well, split, not the whole of both). I was expecting something different from the party pack because it looked like it was all cheese, but the small round brown ones are actually meaty. But it was all pretty good.

I still haven't found the Xmas pasties in a shop, and I really want to try those.

I bought some of those turkey/leek/blue cheese fings too. They're weird for the first bite then ok after that. My dad finished them off before the mould set in hopefully!

I bought the 48 piece VBites package. I've not tried it yet (I'll let you know next Friday) but I am excited to try it...

8 mini quiche lorraines, 8 cheezly & tomato pizza bites, 8 pepperoni style pizza bites, 8 mini meat style samosas, 8 mini duck style spring rolls, 8 pork style sausage rolls with cranberries.

I found them in the frozen section of Holland & Barrett :) I think they've really outdone themselves on the festive selection this year- so much variety.

We got the big party pack yesterday. I thought it was a mixed bag, but that may have been down to the cooking. The sausage rolls had a really weird texture, and the duck spring rolls seemed mushy.

But I tried the festive pasties today. They were really good. I didn't realise they have loads of veg in them, but it's not noticeable. Like, you don't really notice chunks of Brussels sprouts, but they're in there. I would definitely recommend getting them if you have the chance.

Tescos have some vegan-looking mini spring rolls for just over a quid in the freezer section. Apparently they are "new recipe" and marked vegetarian. They don't seem to be very consistent with their labelling of vegan food at Tesco, unless I missed something that makes these unsuitable.
