Walter is still up, and it's making me sad. The part of the description, "You know what would be the perfect home for me? A grumpy old man!" makes me think we'd get along wonderfully. Poor Walter.

This thread is EXACTLY what I needed right now, because I love all you fellow pet people stalking animals on petfinder and the animals are insanely adorable.
My rattie died last night and I found him this morning. My mom called me about it while I was in a taxi on the way to work, and I started crying, and the taxi driver asked me if I was okay, so I told him one of my pets died. Then he said "Oh, that's it? I thought it was something else! I don't care about that!" and gave me a lecture about people dying in Africa. I told him it was possible to care about more than one thing and warned him that he might want to stop being a crasshole if he wanted a tip, but he just went on and on. So I gave him the finger, threw not enough cash at him and slammed the door.
Okay, I'm done derailing this thread. Carry on with the cute animal pictures and caring about animals!

Oh no! I'm so sorry, suzukibeane. Crasshole taxi driver :( I came close to tears at work today because someone phoned asking to renew their short loan books this morning and I never renew people's short loan books on the phone as it's not meant to be allowed and I am super-mean... but then she started telling me that she had to take her dog to be put to sleep and I almost lost it. So sad.
I keep checking this thread to see if H-dog has adopted Walter... and STILL he hasn't! Dagnammit.
