I moved from NYC back in 2008. Back then, I used to have the luxury of going to the Cocoa Bar for my daily vegan pastry fix (Vegan Treats Bakery - Peanut Butter Bomb - damn that was good). Since moving to Seattle, I really haven't found anything too great. Flying Apron I find dry, Whole Foods has some prepackaged cookies and sometimes a chocolate cake, and I do have the luxury of walking across the street to the Space Needle where there is a satellite Plum location. However, none of these options do I find all that satisfying (though the new chocolate vegan cupcake at Cupkake Royale isn't half bad). Am I missing some just really great place with "to-die-for" desserts? If so, please spill. These flights to Brooklyn are getting expensive.

I wonder if Vegan Treats would consider franchising....

Hopefully someone else can be more helpful here, but to me the best vegan treats in these parts come from home kitchen cooking.

That would be a fun meetup, actually. If someone had a large-ish kitchen there could be a vegan treat making party.

There is a new vegan bakery near University Village called Violet Sweet Shoppe. I've been there a few times and they have really fabulous baked goods.

Thirding Violet. The Whole Foods on Westlake has yummy vegan pb fudge in the bakery case, and some chocolate chip cookie sandwiches with chocolate frosting in the middle. Chaco Canyon on Roosevelt always has some yummy treats in their bakery case. - and some raw goodies. And PCC Fremont has the best Peanut Butter Chocolate chip cookies and other vegan offerings. Can you tell I live on sweets?!
