It's a shame you can't embed more than 3 quotes because ^THIS NEEDS TO BE A REALITY

The guy and I woke up about a half hour early today and saw through the doors to his little balcony porch thing that there was snow (first snow!) and we just laid in bed and joked around and gazed at the snow and generally had a good snug. I love starting my day that way. Then I went home and fried up some polenta and a sausage and made a little mocha for breakfast. Good mornings are so nice.

Well, at work today, we got in these little cute silver sign holders, and my boss drew some music notes onto a piece of paper and said it was like a mini music stand! So then, naturally, I had to go get a felt mouse from the christmas ornament display and make it a banjo out of sticks and wire and place it next to the music for my boss to see when she got back from her meeting. Tonight I get this text from my coworker:

Image

She made it into a diorama!

Yes, mini banjos is why I get paid the big buks

we signed the lease on our new place! There are some drawbacks, the major one being we won't be allowed to have a clothes washer anymore, but still, shiny new apartment with only a $50 rent increase. Sooo much relief over here, I can't even express.

Hello So Delicious Pumpkin Spice Coconut Milk!
Despit the non-noggy name, it tastes noggy and good, like a vegan nog should.
and unlike the last nog i had, which tasted good but was thin, this one is good and thick, which means that nobody else in the house will snarf it up. ALL MINE!

Ooh. I need that for my smoothies!

I came home this evening to an amazon box, courtesy of my aunt. I expected a book on the cheapside gems since we've discussed the new exhibit, but it was...a box of little vegan organic spaghetti tins.

Awesome!! Details?

LW, that's hilarious. Your aunt is such a sweetheart. I hope you enjoy the spaghetti!

I'm a little jealous of your pumpkin nog, Torque! I'm glad you're enjoying vegan convenience items though. I need to haul my asparagus to a bigger Whole Foods or something to see if I can find some. Neither the little market near me nor the WF has it.

Today was just really good for me. I worked from home, and it gave me a chance to recharge my batteries a bit. It also gave me a chance to have chilli and a grilled cheese for lunch! I've been researching some home improvement stuff to do in the spring, and they seem manageable. I'll just have to take my time as not to get frustrated and overwhelmed. I think it'll be a good project, and it'll make the place more attractive if I do have to get a roommate one day. So I guess the real best thing is just feeling calm and optimistic!

Egads! I'm sorry it's so huge! They're all from MEC (similar to REI). I will probably not be pushing my boobies out quite so much while I run though.

Always lead with your boobies!

That looks really smart. The top layer is what I'm having trouble nailing down. Is that like a wind breaker material? Or other polyester? The runners world what to wear guide will often say a "light jacket" but I don't know what that means!

Edited because I thought there was a filter for tits. I won't actually like that word, but I thought it would become tortes.

Yeah, it's polyester with a wind-blocking panel in the front and mesh for breathability in strategic locations. I figure on warmer days (like in six months WAH!) I can just do the base and mid-layer. But I think these three should get me through most of the winter. I also got a super ugly running beanie but I think them's the breaks.

It comes in bright pink too! That's one of my favourite shapes for tops, so it was a huge plus that it's a technical fabric and was on sale!

My neighbor came by while I was battling the mountains of fallen leaves and insisted I use his leaf vacuum with shredder attachment. I only got about a quarter of the leaves done, but his machine was a big help!
