A couple more 2014 vegan cookbooks that haven't previously been mentioned here.

Straight from the Earth: 100 Irresistible Vegan Recipes for Everyone by Myra Goodman and Marea Goodman

Vegan Ice Cream Sandwiches by Kris Holechek Peters

Also, Adele McConnell's previously mentioned cookbook has been given a new title: The Vegan Cookbook: Feed your Soul, Taste the Love: 100 of the Best Vegan Recipes

Terry's book is probably quite good, but the blurb on Amazon leaves something to be desired. I need more than a one sentence description. How about naming some of the recipes?

It's not coming out until 2014. They probably haven't even finished developing/testing recipes yet. Usually that stuff is updated a few months before the release.

It was updated recently. The title is no longer Vegan Salad Ninja, but instead it's Salad Samurai.

And some of the recipes are named in the new book description!

Amazon book description wrote:
As coauthor of the bestselling vegan desserts series (including Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World) and plant-based bible Veganomicon, and author of the go- to international cookbooks Viva Vegan! and Vegan Eats World, Terry Hope Romero knows her veggies. Now she’s turning to the new American staple: entreé salads.

Salad Samurai invites you to dig in to the versatile world of meatless, dairy-free entrees built on whole-food ingredients. Salads aren’t just for warm months; Romero tackles meals based on seasonal ingredients, with recipes for fall (hazel nuts and roasted shiitake butter nut salad), winter (shaved fennel, clementine, pecan tempeh toss–up; gingery beets and lentils with tahini and date honey), spring (spring green sand peas in sassy rhubarb dressing; deconstructed spring quiche), and summer (East–West roasted corn salad; summer squash Pad Thai noodles). With sections devoted to brown–bagging it and work–friendly, kid–friendly, gluten–free, high–protein recipes loaded with superfoods, Romero shows you how to build killer salads that are satisfying, healthy, and scrumptious.

I'm sorry to reply late, but this just isn't true. It's basically impossible to do this in a home kitchen under ordinary cooking conditions.

The discussion was already out of place in an upcoming cookbook thread, let's not drag it back up, please.

Just came across a new Celine & Tami book for January of next year: Vegan Finger Foods

Also, this looked like something I was interested in, tried to look up the author as "Adam Media" (pronouncing it Meh-dia), then realized it was ADAMS MEDIA. So does this book not even have an author? That makes me think the quality of recipes could be questionable, but here it is anyway: The Spicy Vegan

Someone might've already posted this, but there's also a new 30 Minute Vegan with a soup theme: The 30-Minute Vegan: Soup's On!. I like the one Mark Reinfeld book I have, but I don't know how much use I'd get out of a soup-only book. I'm interested though.

I am excited about this one and will definitely buy it. I love the relative simplicity of her other cookbooks and how they use mostly pantry friendly ingredients with quick and yummy results.

I'm super excited about it too. I love the lasagna recipe in Chloe's Kitchen.

I will totally be purchasing that! I love those 30 minute books. I've surprised myself by liking them, but it's a brand that really works and somehow the recipes manage to be really unique (and very well tested, I presume, since I've never had a flop) while still being really quick and easy to make. They're the books I turn to most when trying to work through our CSA boxes, and soup is definitely what I make most frequently when I have heaps of veggies to plough through and only a couple of nights a week to actually cook.

Oh She Glows also has a cookbook coming out next year. I've already preordered my copy: http://ohsheglows.com/the-book/

Dreena Burton is also working on a new one (Plant-Powered Families, I believe) but I don't know the date yet and simply can.not.wait for it!

Any updates on Julie Hasson's casserole book? I know there were testers for it, but haven't heard anything since. If there's one thing a Minnesotan loves its a casserole. Except all Minnesotans know they're called hot dishes.

Vegan Casseroles: Pasta Bakes, Gratins, Pot Pies, and More by Julie Hasson is now listed on Amazon with a publication date of Oct 7, 2014.

Other upcoming vegan cookbooks newly listed there:

Vegan Holiday Cooking from Candle Cafe: Celebratory Menus and Recipes from New York's Premier Plant-Based Restaurants by Joy Pierson, Angel Ramos and Jorge Pineda -- September 30, 2014

Vegan Vitality: Your Complete Guide to an Active, Healthy, Plant-Based Lifestyle by Karina Inkster -- Nov 4, 2014

Vegan Dinner Party: Comforting Vegan Dishes for Any Occasion by Sandra Vungi – November 4, 2014

There are a number of vegetarian (not vegan) cookbook that have been added since I last posted here, too. Most notable of these is probably Yotam Ottolenghi's Plenty More (Oct. 14).

Couple new ones:

Make Your Own Nut Milks, Nut Butters, and More by Melissa King

The Vegiterranean Diet: Indulge in Your Favorite Mediterranean Cuisine for Optimal Health and Weight Loss by Julieanna Hever

Does anyone know if the latter is vegan? I associate Hever with vegan cookbooks but the title doesn't make it clear if this is one.

I am wondering if I want to pre-order (or rather flat out buy - it comes out so quickly) Straight from the Earth. this is the one drawback of losing my job - I wont be able to see cookbooks that come out right away now. I do want more "vegetable" based books... this seems like it.

Oh ok LFL, I thought maybe you saw something I didn't :) That one sounds like a good idea.

daisy - Straight from the Earth looks good as well, I rarely pre-order books though. I rather see what people say although it has a look inside feature and it looks good.

And although I rarely pre-order books, I did pre-order Afro Vegan... nom nom nom
