I was alright with snow in October until the power went out for 23 hours. But we're the Poconos, so all those pretty leaves that haven't fallen yet just got weighed down with snow and took out major power lines. Fun, fun.

YUP. We went out around 11:30 or noon when it was just flurrying, and then it took us TWO HOURS to make the 20-minute trip home. Whenever I say I hate snow, my boyfriend or someone I work with is always like, "no, I like it, it's pretty, it's magical, it's festive around Christmas." Well fork festive! It's not magical, it's a frozen pain in the asparagus falling from the sky. Snow is only fun if you're 9 and don't have anywhere to go. Ugh. HATE.

Drove to work (very slowly) in the snow this morning. Gotta love when it's timed perfectly to coincide with rush hour. My boyfriend's office closed and he got sent home. JEALOUS. I'm hoping the roads are clear-ish by the time I leave this afternoon.

Words cannot express how sick I am of this shiitake and it just started.

SERIOUSLY. The emergency rehearsal that we scheduled to get ready for our rescheduled concert which got snowed out in December...got canceled, due to the weather. Our dress rehearsal had been snowed out too. It's like the weather has calibrated itself to ruin this show. Now we have a concert this Sunday and we haven't been able to rehearse since before Thanksgiving and aaaauauuuughhhh I'm going to tear my hair out.

I think the universe is telling you that you're not supposed to have this concert!

If that's the case, I'm moving to a different universe.

Me too! Ughhhh. My boyfriend is supposed to come in from London tomorrow. There's no way his flight is not cancelled or delayed or something. Ugh!!!! I'm just so lucky I got home from work today. People who left maybe just an hour after I did, on the same route, took maybe 4 hours longer because shiitake started to get crazy and Septa went nuts. I am not looking forward to shoveling tomorrow.

Also, I have a new dog! Just met him last night. I tried to walk him several times in the snow, and he looked at me like I was f-ing crazy. He is not a fan.

it seems like whenever it snows, the neighbor's kid comes by and parks his jeep on the street. that means the snow plow gets nowhere near the curb. (luckily he left before it came around the 2nd time this time, but the last time it snowed, i had no such luck. i shoveled the street, because scott was going to be coming home soon, and i didn't want him slipping into the wall. then the neighbor left, and then the plow came around again, and covered the driveway back up. i was so sad. that was a lot of snow i had to move 2x.)

i hate snow.

Are you a hooper?? Let's be best friends.

In other news, totally not looking forward to driving down to Philly tomorrow because I know there will still be snow everywhere and I'll have to park my car in the middle of a snow bank again. Le sigh.

We never lost power. I think it's because I made sure to keep all my devices fully charged so I could keep working in case we did. How long was yours out for?

Very happily surprised that there isn't too much snow clogging up the streets of south Philly today!
