For non-undereye concealing, I really like the Everyday Minerals powder - it's basically really pigmented mineral foundation. I pat it on my acne redness with my fingers (over foundation, so it has something to stick to) and then when I put on powder, it blends in easily.

http://www.everydayminerals.com/store/m ... alers.html

Those cream concealers are new. If you do order anything, don't forget to snag their free 7-sample kit!

I don't know where else to bisque about this, so here goes. A couple months ago, I plucked half my eye lashes on my right eye (I have the double row of eye lash mutation) hoping they would grow back not curled into my eye. I started to think they wouldn't grow back at all, but they did, of course with the same curl. Annoying. And makes putting contacts in a pain.

The weird thing is they haven't always curled like that, just in the past year or so.

Huh. Do you curl your eyelashes? Would that whip those little mustards in shape?

I think I have uncurlable lashes! They have a slight upward natural curl except those annoying drooped under mustards on the right.

Has anybody else had their eyelashes suddenly start growing differently or are mine just totally mutant? It's like getting constantly poked in the eye. I don't notice it all the time, maybe just on days I'm extra irritable.

mrsbadmouth, how do you know elf is coming out with a blush palette soon? That sounds amazing. I have this crazy desire to buy/hoard all the elf makeup.

I follow them on instagram and they posted a photo of it, closed, last week. I don't follow any other brands but they don't post a ton of pictures and they show off upcoming products a lot.

Neither of those CVS codes worked for me, MBM.

I have an extra care card and the codes worked for me when I tested them out.

Thanks for the elf recs guys. I spent too much money on makeup today so im gonna resist this sale and wait for the next sale.

mrsbadmouth wrote:
Baps, weren't you looking for undereye concealer? You could use the sale to try out a handful and see if any of them work for you.

Yes, I've tried their full coverage ones and I do like them.

Weird, I'm a card holder too and they didn't work for me, twice, once on a laptop and once on a tablet. I might just order it anyway because even with shipping it's $6 a tube if I get two , plus I could get some other stuff.

Eta- I ordered some and the 20% code worked but not the free shipping one.

Had a mini strop / panic this morning when I saw that the Eyeko mascara I picked up yesterday in London has beeswax in. I stupidly didn't check because Eyeko's website says they don't use animal ingredients.

So I went to the site this morning with the intention of sending them a snarky email pointing out that beeswax comes from an animal and it says on there it's synthetic. YAY!! So I used it and it is AWESOME! It's the skinny brush one. I know it's a bit pricey but at first try, I think it's definitely worth it.

Also, why do some makeup companies make it soooo difficult to get answers out of them. I'm finding it sooo frustrating. Sleek replied to my question about the eyeshadow palettes by sending me a vegan list. Yeah thanks! Not only did that not answer my question but the formatting of the list is messed up so I have no idea what is actually vegan on the list because all the symbols are showing up as a 'u'. Brilliant. It's frustrating to have to go back with 'yeah thanks but can you confirm ....'. GAH

Either that or they just don't respond at at all or have to be chased a billion times.

The only ones that have been really helpful and speedy in their responses are Soap & Glory, Boots & Marks and Spencer.

I really don't understand why it's so hard to get an answer from companies. Do they not know what's in their products? It's either gross ignorance or a "cover your asparagus" attitude where they don't want to say one way or the other to avoid being held accountable.

I think it's both. But mainly I think they're too lazy to contact their lab and find out answers if they don't know (NYX, I'm still mad at ya!!!)

I asked this question before but believe it was buried.

Any Tarte mascara users finding their Lights Camera mascara dries out fast for them? Is it just me? My tube seems dry on the barely 2 month mark. I really like this mascara though.

I think it dries out a little faster than other mascaras. I find it to be kind of a drier formula in general.

Is there anywhere to buy the Kett Sett powder compact other than their website? I was just ordering it, and shipping is ELEVEN dollars. For a little compact. So no.

I thought mine went dry in a very short amount of time. I think it is their formula....one of the reasons it's not a favorite of mine

Some of the pro sites carry it. Camera Ready Cosmetics has it. They carry OCC, Yaby, and Sugarpill too, so you could get some liptars and eyeshadows and make the shipping more worth it.

Otherwise they have a list of retail locations on their website. The only location in MA is Hudson, which I don't know MA, or Hudson, or where in MA you are, so I have no idea if that's near you.

Not near me, unfortunately, (thanks for looking! :) but the CRC shipping was only three bucks, and I had a 5% discount code so that saved me a whole extra dollar! Ha. Thanks for posting that.

I'm excited to have a compact because I feel like I've probably been inhaling a lot of mineral powder while kabuki-brushing it on my nose.

Can someone recommend a good brush to use for liquid foundation? I have an Elf angled brush but I don't think it's right for that. It's very flat and thin and I don't quite know what to use if for.

I prefer a buffing type of brush for liquid foundation, gives such a good finish and makes blending foundation a breeze.

My favourite is the Sigma F80. But the Real Techniques buffing brush is excellent (although you can only get it as part of a set). Their expert face brush is also very similar but a slightly different shape and can be bought separately.

Another option is a stippling brush, I like the Real Techniques one, gives a lovely finish.

I don't understand how you use a brush with liquid foundation. I use my fingers and a beauty blender.
