oh hey I just noticed that the sale is in early May, as opposed to late April, and I think I can totally bake for it. Ugh last year I had my goods all baked when a stomach flu felled most of my family and prevented me from delivering so I hope I can redeem myself this year!

So I'm reaching out to bakeries to donate since there hasn't been a huge amount of sign ups. So far, I've hit Clementine and BabyCakes. I feel like a different business is closing every day. Who else is left?

Maybe check the vegan shop up vendor list?
I want to bake I'm just not. 100% sure yet that I will have time, but I'll sign up as soon as I figure it out.

So if I volunteered to help at the sale what should I do? Just show up?

hmm this is kinda weird and probably not a good idea but: I've perfected a really yummy cheesy cracker thing and thought they'd probably sell. But they'd have to be bagged and all that so probably not a good idea right? Probably gonna stick with various scones and cupcakes methinks.

If you can transport it, we can sell it! We've sold bags of homemade granola (I hope they make it again; it's so good), croissant sandwiches, pot pies that were heated up in a toaster oven, raw collard rolls...pretty much anything!

That cracker sounds cool so.....If you want to bag or wrap at the last minute, I have lots of ribbon, cotton twine and small plastic bags : ) Many of my items will be bagged. I'm happy to share. Just let me know and I'll bring things with me for you to use.

Okay one more question - what time should I show up? I'm good on doing set up and selling but I have to leave before the end.

Something has come up and I might have to leave the city tonight instead of tomorrow in which case I can't be there. I'm hoping it all works out for the best and I can be there.

Thanks to everyone who baked, volunteered and ate yesterday, we raised over $850 to help GooseWatch protect NYC's urban wildlife! Wooha! Thanks so much especially to chuparosa for bringing gorgeous baked goods and being there ALL DAY!

Awww! Thanks so much seitansaiddance!!! I really enjoyed helping out and met so many great people that it was a pleasure to be there all day. The real thanks goes to you for all the hard work you did organizing and running the event (plus baking too-amazing!!!). Everything went smoothly because of your involvement. And a big hug to everyone at MooShoes who were so welcoming and supportive. So much more than a shoe store for sure. Everyone did an awesome job at baking. So many things looked and tasted delicious! We have some talented chefs among us : )
