I remember, around 1993 or so, I saw an ad for a globe that was a blank magnetic sphere with flexible magnets to put on for all the countries and oceans and everything. When you bought it, you registered with the company, and any time countries changed around, they'd send you the new magnets to replace the old ones.

Yeah, that sounds awesome! I'm terrible at geography but I bet that having to stick all those magnets on a globe would help me remember.

I can't name 2 of the Supreme Court judges. I guess that makes me "Dopey"!

Ah, I was just waiting for the portmanteau to arrive. My patience has been rewarded. I'll reserve Samuclarenin for another day.

I tend to believe in the possibility of things. But then I think that, in all likelihood, the person claiming to experience ____ is a forking crazy nutjob looney toons. :-)

To be fair, I can't name any of them. I think overall, this was a so-so list. Some things were scarier than others . . . some weren't scary at all. I still felt it worth sharing, though.

On the other hand, I have argued with more than one Canuck teenager (...and my sister argued this with her high school social studies teacher) about whether there are 50 or 52 states.

"NO! YOU HAVE TO COUNT HAWAII AND ALASKA TOO!"
"I did. But I didn't count Unicorntopia and Lilliput, which you seem to have done."

Maybe they're counting Puerto Rico and... Guam?

Still, what's a state and what's not a state isn't a matter of opinion. We got 50, people.
