Okay, just had my first Gardein experience-- Tuscan breasts. I have to say, I think I checked the package 5 times after the first bite because they tasted and felt just like chicken. For anyone out there who doesn't like meat analogues... you HAVE to try these!

I like them ok but the breasts always seem a bit soggy to me- did you bake them? I like the frozen chicken fingers a lot though.

I don't know if we have them here. I'll have to keep an eye out.

I've only had their frozen products and I've liked them. I have heard that the refrigerated ones aren't as awesome, so due to the price, I've stuck with what I know is good.
I like the scallopini and the chicken fingers.

I've liked them when I've had them, but they do tend to be relatively expensive.

I have tried the chicken breast, the buffalo chicken wings, and the chicken fingers. I didn't like anything but the chicken fingers, which are absolutely amazing!

I found these marked 50% off, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought them either! And yes, I baked them for the full time suggested. I'll have to scope out the others you guys have mentioned!

The wings themselves are good, but the sauce is terrible. The scallopini is AMAZING with Kikkoman's black bean sauce with garlic; you fry them up normally, then brush them with the sauce and fry a bit longer. Just don't eat anything else with salt in it for two or three days. I don't get the crispy tender love. They're okay, but not all that. Then again, I never loved cafeteria chicken either, and that's what everyone who loves them says they taste like.

i also just stick with the frozen stuff. the refrigerated stuff is just too heavy on mediocre sauces.
everything (frozen) i've had has been crazy meat-like. i like the beef tips and the scallopini. they are both pretty plain and can be added to anything. yesterday, i chopped up some scallopini and put it in my chickun dumpling soup. it has stayed intact (sometimes my meat analogues go to mush in soups, etc) and is kind of creeping me out with it's likeness to chicken.

I'm not a fan of Gardein. Tried a few things and thought they were gross, maybe because they were too meat like.

I will try anything Gardein as long as it doesn't have a sauce because their saucy stuff is just plain foul.
Scallopini, beefless tips, and crispy tenders all the way.

I just tried the mandarin orange crispy chick'n and really liked it! Added some fresh garlic and soy sauce, cooked everything with green beans. The scallopini is best, but I would eat the tenders every day if I could afford to.

I had their wings, and was pleasantly impressed. I'll have to try their other assortments some time. Glad to see other people are finding out about Gardein, thought it was an obscure thing or something. More people should try it!

Their refrigerated sauce based stuff is a little iffy, but when they are 50% of or so I like them fine. Good for when you want junky stuff.
Best plan is to boil them in the pouch then bake them.

Scallopini, beefless tips, and crispy tenders all the way. I agree completely. I just used the beefless tips to make beef stew, it was awesome!

I love their chicken breast substitutes - frozen or fresh. (I prep them with enough sauce & other stuff that they always taste great.) However, I *HATE* their pre-stuffed & sauced concoctions. Nasty. But, if you ever happen to get to eat one of their burgers... they are awesome!!! BEST VEGAN BURGER EVER! Unfortunately, they only sell them to food service establishments, not to the consumers. (I tried them at Sublime restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale.) If you've had their burger, I'd love to hear what you think. And if you really liked them, go over to Gardein's Facebook page and ask them to make the burgers available for retail.

I really liked the chick'n scallopini and thought the tenders were decent. I'm really interested to try the chipotle lime tenders...because they sound amazing.

i am obsessed with the crispy tenders, i toss them in a franks red hot/ earth balance mix for "buffalo" style then toss a few in a big bowl of spinach with green apples and hearts of palm or artichoke hearts-- so good! and i can usually go without even adding any dressing.
we like the scallopini and "beef" tips too
but their "wings" and fridge stuff hasn't impressed us
