A long shot, but does anyone any vegan food there? Even Happy Cow is stumped.

I ate my friend's apt! If you want, I could ask her if there's anything vegan in town (she's veg, and might know).

I've never been there BUT there is a website with a list of vegan/vegan-friendly cafes and restaurants: http://veganes-paderborn.de/lokalitaeten/
It's german - if you need help with translating, let me know ;)
AND there is a facebook-site: https://www.facebook.com/veganespaderborn - I guess you will get many helpful answers if you post there.

Hey thanks both. Could you tell from that site if there is anywhere that would be good for eating with omnis that has local style food? It only has to have one vegan option.

I am off to the FB page too!

I think alt-engingermühle could be what you are looking for: http://www.alt-engingermuehle.de/restau ... _elsen.php
the vegan option (there seems to be only one) - though not very "german" - sounds pretty good to me: eggplant lasagna w/ chickpea puree and beet topping. most of the other restaurants in the lists are italian, indian or asian.

Ha, what a coincidence! I created a thread with almost the same title last year: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=27513&p=762675&hilit=paderborn#p762675

I spent five days in Paderborn and ate a lot of Indian food. Looks like there are a lot more options now than when I was there. Nice!

Haha, wow, I didn't even think it was worth searching! And thank you Ratefuchsin, that does sound what I'm looking for if I can't get anything German.
