Geez, when I have a little extra money I think I need to order a second copy (hopefully they'll still be available!) Mine is so torn up - it's literally in three pieces. I mean, even VWAV is only missing it's cover in addition to stains.

Jeezus. I need to be nicer to my things.

- parmesean (another staple)
- spice cake
- Texas caviar

I just got this book a few weeks ago. Since everyone was raving about the mustard crusted seitan, I had to try that first. It did not disappoint. I served with the collard greens and some mashed sweet potatoes. Really delicious! I'm looking forward to trying other recipes.

I just made the Lentil Soup on Friday. Best I've ever had. I ate it at every meal for 2 days. My husband loves it as well.

I made the Tamale Pie the other night. It's goddamn delicious, and it was even better the next day. I added some hot sauce at each serving, cause I wanted a little spice. Next time, I might add some chipotles to the sauce.

I can't wait to try more recipes!

Mine came today! As I quickly flipped through it, I'm already htinking of ordering another because I can think of a few people who would also enjoy it.

Now the hard part is just deciding what to make first because there are so many things that I want to try.

hey dudes:

FYI: i'm closing the etsy shop between now and christmas day so that i don't have to leave the house until next sunday and can just stay at home in my pajamas, eating chex mix and watching a christmas story over and over.

anyway, i was really hoping to be sold out by christmas, but considering the fact that i haven't paid for any ads and have only been spreading the news through word of mouth, i'm lucky to have sold as many as i have.

if you still don't have a copy of yellow rose recipes, use the coupon code "yay2011" on december 26th and save 15% off your order. i might even let the coupon run through december 31st.

thanks for all the awesome feedback in this thread!

I made the Sloppy Joanna's over the weekend and they were devoured by all even the picky teenagers. These are my favorite Sloppy's to date and they are going into the regular rotation.
