Just getting things started!

Has anyone been to Sazon (10th & Spring Garden)? They look pretty vegan-friendly but I'd love to hear actual experiences.

I went to vegan treats yesterday! They didn't have the chocolate hazelnut cakes though, I was super disappointed! We're visiting ny tomorrow, really excited!

It seems like Vegan Treats isn't making as many donuts as before. I wonder why. It's all I'm really interested in!

I've been wanting to go for a whle, just never make it happen for some reason. Looking forward to trying the arepas and raw truffles when I go though.

I emailed one day to see what options they had, “2 of our appetizers can be made vegan, all of our side dishes are vegan, 16 bean soup, la flaca sandwich without cheese, palmitto sandwich without cheese, 3 different arepas, 2 dinner options, and vegan raw truffles and water based vegan hot chocolates. When you arrive please ask for me, my name is Robert. I will explain everything in more detail.” Hope that helps.

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? Someone make sure I go to Whole Foods; I need bulk quinoa. Also I need friends. I'm really bored now that everyone I know has left Pennsylvania.

I want to do a Philly Vegan Crawl! We meet someplace vegan (like Blackbird) eat, talk, whatever, then walk on to the next place and get more vegan goodies. We stuff ourselves but walk it off in between :) I'm just at the beginning stages of the idea and I need help mapping it out. Anyone interested?

My (non-PPK vegan) friend and I were just discussing a very very similar idea today. Our maniacal scheme remains top-secret for now (since I'm not sure if he'll want to have it be just a couple people or if we're going to try to make it a large group activity) but I'll let you know what we decide. :D

Very helpful! Thanks! I have agreed to go there instead of Horizons for an anniversary dinner so I want to make sure it's friendly.

It's a ways away yet, but is anyone having a vegan thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is my veganniversary and I really like to celebrate it properly with a grand vegan feast. :)

I wishhh I could come to a vegan Thanksgiving but I still have to go to the huge 'family' shitshow where half the people are crazies we don't even know.

i'm traveling to little rock for thanksgiving, so you can imagine how vegan that'll be. :(

and the part about family...we're having it at my husband's uncle's...this will be the first time that people in his family (other than his parents) will be meeting our kids. i'm real excited to constantly explain that my kids don't eat meat and to constantly hear his parents offer turkey legs to my son. :( :( :(
