I've been going crazy for donuts, is there a place to get a vegan raised donut anywhere in New England? The last time I had a donut I had to make them myself and bought a deep fryer and everything.

On Saturdays Veggie Galaxy serves donuts for a limited time in the morning and sometimes they have yeast ones. I'm not positive but I think Sabertooth may have yeast ones as well.

Sabertooth is now sharing space with Taco Party in Ball Square in Somerville. They have lots of donuts, but I'm not sure if they're yeast donuts.

I've only ever seen cake donuts from Sabertooth. The storefront with Taco Party is awesome though.

I didn't know of the difference between yeast and cake donuts until now! I just had a donut at Sabertooth/Taco Party over the weekend, and it was good, but definitely very thick/cakey and not my favorite style. On the upside, they have some very unique flavors.

This might disgust some, but I also have a personal saying of "vegan with my cash, freegan from the trash." There's this Dunkin Donuts dumpster getting rave reviews nearby, and unbelievable prices.

Union Square Donuts has awesome yeasted donuts! They used to only do vegan ones on weekends but I think they have them there all the time now. I've only ever seen donuts at Veggie Galaxy once, but they were also yeast donuts.

I like Sabertooth's donuts OK, but I used to LOVE cake donuts before being vegan, and part of that is because they were usually fried--whereas theirs ARE only cake, but just baked. Healthier, I guess, but I love me some fried food.

Veggie Galaxy only has donuts on Saturday mornings, and are only sometimes yeast. I would really love to see a more consistent roll out of vegan donuts. I do miss them so much.
